PrimaDry drying agent is optimal for pit and fissure drying and prior to placement of hydrophobic sealants. It contains 99% organic solvents and 1% primer. PrimaDry drying agent rapidly volatilizes moisture content of pits and fissures after rinsing off etchant with water spray and air drying. The ultrafine primer film allows UltraSeal XT™ plus pit and fissure sealant to flow perfectly into every pit and fissure. Do not use on dentin.
- For use with UltraSeal XT plus pit and fissure sealant
- Reduces microleakage in hydrophobic sealants
Indications for Use
Use PrimaDry drying agent whenever assurance of absolute cavity prep dryness is needed. When placing UltraSeal XT plus sealant, PrimaDry drying agent should always be used to remove moisture from grooves following acid etching and rinsing. This step assures optimum bond of sealant resin, and virtually elminates microleakage.
Helps to Eliminate Moisture that Can Cause Failure
PrimaDry drying agent is designed to rapidly volatize any moisture remaining in the pits and fissures of teeth after rinsing with water spray and air drying. This prevents any microleakage or poor retention that can come from moisture being trapped in the pits and fissures before the sealant is applied.
Allows Sealants to Flow Easily
PrimaDry drying agent contains an ultrafine primer that allows sealants to easily flow perfectly into any pit or fissure.

Q: Can PrimaDry drying agent be used with UltraSeal XT™ hydro pit and fissure sealant?
A: No, we do not recommend the use of PrimaDry drying agent with UltraSeal XT hydro sealant. They weren’t designed to work together. UltraSeal XT hydro sealant works best on slightly moist teeth, and PrimaDry drying agent is designed to help desiccate the tooth.
Q: Will PrimaDry drying agent cause sealants to flow more easily?
A: PrimaDry drying agent is 99% organic solvents and 1% primer. The primer will reduce the surface tension of the sealant so that it flows more effectively into the etched enamel surfaces.
