Failed bonds can lead to costly retreatments and sensitivity for your patients. Peak Universal Bond adhesive's advanced formula secures a strong and complete bond resulting in durable, long-lasting restorations with less post-op sensitivity.

Peak Universal Bond adhesive's versatile formulation is ideal for indirect and direct bonding, including post and core procedures. With 7.5% filler, Peak Universal Bond adhesive's viscosity has been optimized for minimal film thickness (2 µm).1 Peak Universal Bond also contains 0.2% chlorhexidine to help ensure long-term bond strength.2, 3 Ultradent's Dymetech monomer blend technology in Peak Universal Bond adhesive can generate higher bond strengths than bonding agents with the conventional 10-MDP monomer.5

  • Universal adhesive can be used in all bonding procedures, direct and indirect
  • Proven superior bond strengths4
  • Available in syringe and bottle delivery
  • No refrigeration required

Peak Universal Bond adhesive

Highest Bond Strengths to Both Dentin and Enamel

A university study1 conducted at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, compared the shear bonding strengths of five bonding systems. The results showed that the Peak Universal Adhesive System yielded the highest bond strengths to both dentin and enamel. An additional internal study9 conducted by Ultradent’s R&D team tested 15 materials for shear bond strength. Seven specimens of dentin or cut enamel were made for each set. All sets were prepared according to manufacturer’s instructions and bond strength testing was conducted according to Ultradent’s testing methods, which were since adopted by the ISO as a standard for testing. The strengths were recorded and averaged. The Peak Universal Adhesive System recorded the highest bond strengths on both dentin and enamel.

Ideal for All Bonding Procedures

The Peak Universal Adhesive System features a universal bonding agent that is compatible with both self-etch and total-etch techniques. Its universal formulation works with all bonding substrates—including dentin, enamel, porcelain, metal, composite, and zirconia—and it provides superior bond strengths, making it the ideal choice for all bonding procedures.

Less Sensitivity

Because bonding success begins with a quality etch, both Peak™ SE Primer and Ultra-Etch™ etchant are formulated to create an optimally prepared surface for bonding-resin penetration. When Peak Universal Bond adhesive is applied to the prepared surface, the result is unsurpassed bond strength and complete resin impregnation without voids, which reduces the possibility of residual patient sensitivity.

Saves Time and Money

Because Peak Universal Bond adhesive can be used for all direct and indirect bonding procedures, including post and core procedures, it saves you time and money by eliminating the need for material-sensitive products and reducing inventory in your office.

Contains Chlorhexidine for Enhanced Bond Strengths

Peak Universal Bond adhesive's unique formulation contains a 0.2% concentration of chlorhexidine, which may ensure long-term bond strengths.5-8

Two Delivery Options

Peak Universal Bond adhesive is available in two delivery options: syringes for intraoral control, minimal waste, and preservation of critical, oxygen-sensitive ingredients, and bottles for easy dispensing and convenient delivery with an applicator brush.

Q: I’ve been a PQ1™ single-resin bonding agent user for a long time. Why would I want to switch to Peak Universal Bond adhesive?

A: Peak Universal Bond adhesive is the result of years of research and development, and there are a lot of advantages Peak Universal Bond adhesive offers. For example, Peak Universal Bond adhesive is only 7.5% filled where PQ1 single-resin bonding agent is 40% filled, yet Peak Universal Bond adhesive offers higher bond strengths than PQ1 bonding agent (71.3 MPa vs. 62.8 MPa, respectively). Also, Peak Universal Bond adhesive works with both self-etch and total-etch techniques while PQ1 bonding agent only works with the total-etch technique. Finally, Peak Universal Bond adhesive includes chlorhexidine (0.2%), which may ensure long-term bond strengths.5-8 PQ1 bonding agent does not.

Q: What substrates does Peak Universal Bond adhesive adhere to?

A: Like its name implies, Peak Universal Bond adhesive is truly a universal bonding agent. It provides excellent bond strengths on dentin, enamel, composite, metal, porcelain, and zirconia.

Q: Can I use a chlorhexidine product like Consepsis™ antibacteral solution in conjunction with Peak Universal Bond adhesive?

A: Yes, but the appropriate time to use it will depend on the technique you use. If you’re using a self-etch technique, apply the chlorhexidine before etching. If you’re using a total-etch technique, apply chlorhexidine after the etchant has been rinsed and before Peak Universal Bond adhesive is placed.
