Enamelast™ is a highly effective fluoride varnish treatment with a smooth texture, pleasant taste, and nearly invisible appearance. Its unique formula is made with a patented adhesion-promoting agent for enhanced retention, providing superior fluoride release and uptake.

Enamelast 5% sodium fluoride varnish from Ultradent Products Inc. has been proven to have both a superior fluoride release and fluoride uptake. The specially designed natural, non-gritty texture and nearly invisible appearance of Enamelast ensures that patients leave it on longer for maximum fluoride ion absorption. Enamelast is available in two delivery options: unit-dose blister pack with a prefilled well and an applicator brush or a syringe and tip delivery system with enough varnish for two to four patients. Other features and benefits include:

  • Patented adhesion-promoting agent for enhanced retention
  • Superior fluoride release and uptake
  • Smooth, non-gritty texture
  • Flavoured, xylitol-sweetened or unflavoured options

Non-Gritty and Nearly Invisible Appearance

Some varnishes leave behind a gritty feel on patients’ teeth. In contrast, Enamelast fluoride varnish leaves patients’ teeth feeling clean and smooth and has a nearly invisible appearance. These characteristics encourage patients to leave the varnish on their teeth for a longer period of time, allowing it to deliver the maximum amount of fluoride ion to every tooth.

Better Adhesion for Enhanced Retention

Unlike fluoride mouthwash or gel that can be easily washed away, Enamelast fluoride varnish adheres to the teeth to deliver the full benefits of fluoride to your patients. It features a patented adhesion-promoting agent that ensures exceptional retention and allows for higher fluoride uptake.

Convenient Delivery Options

Enamelast fluoride varnish unit-dose blister packs are perfect for those who prefer a single application. With an applicator brush and prefilled well together in unit-dose blister packs are also ideal for clinics in a hospital setting where regulations require unit-dose treatments to have all materials packaged together.

Syringe delivery allows for clinician preference during application. You may simply apply Enamelast fluoride varnish directly onto a patient's teeth through a SoftEZ™ tip. Alternatively, you can express the varnish into a well before painting it onto the teeth. Each easy-to-use syringe provides enough varnish for 2–4 patients.

Four Great-Tasting Flavors

Enamelast fluoride varnish comes in four great-tasting flavors that will leave both adults and children happy. Unit-dose applications are available in Walterberry, Orange Cream, Cool Mint and Bubble Gum; syringe applications are available in Walterberry flavor. All Enamelast varnishes are also nut and gluten free.

Superior Fluoride Uptake

Enamelast fluoride varnish’s superior uptake is a result of its patented adhesion promoting formula, which ensures that the varnish stays on the teeth longer. Rather than flaking off the teeth in chunks, it slowly dissolves over a long period of time allowing for greater fluoride uptake.

Superior Fluoride Release

Enamelast fluoride varnish’s superior retention promotes enhanced and sustained fluoride release, allowing more fluoride to be absorbed into the enamel over a longer period of time than other leading competitors.

Q: Can my orthodontic patients use Enamelast?

Enamelast is great for patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, especially those who currently have an orthodontic sealant on their teeth. When Enamelast is applied to a tooth treated with sealant, it recharges the sealant for even longer fluoride release.

Q: How often can Enamelast be applied?

The ADA recommends as often as every three months. Ultimately it depends on the patient's risk of developing caries.

Q: Is Enamelast gluten-free?

Yes. It's also free of peanuts, soy and dyes.
