The CTT™ Ceramic Tissue Trimmer is a rotating instrument designed to replace both electrosurgery and surgical blades, while also eliminating the need for retraction cord in many procedures. It delivers a smooth, controlled cut while heat development provides effective haemostasis with minimal bleeding and virtually no risk of necrosis.
Its kinetic energy creates a heat-coagulating effect without “burning” the tissue and allows the instrument to be used without water spray or cooling.

Indications for Use
- Gingival modelling
- Freeing deep cavities
- Laceration of interradicular granulation tissue
- Papillectomy and removal of hyperplastic gingiva
- Exposure of intraosseous implant sections and retained teeth

- Dilation of the sulcus following crown build-up
The Ceramic Tissue Trimmer provides controlled soft tissue shaping for enhanced esthetic emergence profile development.
Recommendations for Use
- Use the CTT Ceramic Tissue Trimmer without water to allow the instrument tip to generate heat during rotation. This enables thermal coagulation and effective tissue cauterization while trimming.
- Operate with light intermittent pressure for optimal control and efficiency.
- Recommended operating speed: 300,000 – 500,000 rpm
Cleaning & Care
- Always clean the instrument using a nylon brush. Metal brushes may cause discoloration due to friction on the instrument surface.

Q: Can I sterilize these burs?
A: The ceramic point is made from a hard biocompatible oxide material. Can be sterilised by any method (max 135°C/275°F).
