Komet ZR Flash Polishers are your solution for polishing high-strength ceramics. Designed to meet the unique preliminary and final polishing requirements of all-ceramic materials at chairside, Komet ZR Flash Polishers have been developed to smooth, polish, and impart a high shine when applied to restorations fabricated of zirconium oxide, aluminum oxide, lithium disilicate, and pressed ceramics.
Incorporating interspersed diamonds for consistently reliable performance, the polishers produce outstanding results in two steps, each of which can be easily identified by the color of the Komet ZR Flash Polisher.
The ZR Polishers can be used on all-ceramic restorations, including:
- Zirconia (ZR)
- Lithium disilicate (LD) / e.max ®
- Aluminum oxide
- Pressed ceramics
If using the ZR Flash Polishers for crown and bridge, we recommend using the following for your entire treatment:
- Break contact with our super coarse black strip diamonds, like the thin and tapered 5858
- Cut with our coarse extra-coarse Deep Purple Diamonds, like the 856XC, which can create an optimal crown margin
- Finish with the matching chamfer-shaped fine diamond, like our 8856, to remove jagged edges and achieve a smooth margin
- Adjust using our ZR Diamonds, like the ZR379
- Pre-polish using the flame-shaped or cup-shaped blue polishers
- Final high-shine polish with the flame-shaped or cup-shaped light grey polishers
