Core Material
Cosmedent

CosmeCore™ is the only core buildup material that reaches full dentin hardness at 7mm, it will not gouge or flake during prep. High strength CosmeCore has an automix delivery and is dual-cure so you can cement posts using the same core material for the cement as for the build-up.

  • Sets hard and cuts like dentin
  • Cures to 7mm depth
  • Stacks well, won't slump, and cuts easily
  • Longer working time is great for cases with multiple posts and cores
  • Convenient automix
  • Radiopaque to distinguish from tooth structure
  • 3 shades - A2 for anterior esthetic cases; White or A2 for ceramic restorations; and Blue for under PFMs

Indications for Use

Cosmecore is indicated for high strength core build-ups. Cosmecore is also used as a combination luting cement/core material for use with fibre posts.

Dental Post Cementation and Core Build-Up with Cosmecore.

"I developed COSMECORE because I did not like the way the other core build up materials prepped. The other materials were too soft and gouged when prepped. COSMECORE will not gouge. The ability to build up a tooth without it slumping was also paramount in developing an ideal material. You can stack it around a post or into a prep without it slumping. The working time is ideal and you can add to it if you have any voids. It comes in three different shades which is important when doing metal vs. all ceramic crowns. The depth of cure is excellent and it is a dual- cure material. "
