Highly detailed anterior composite restorations require specifically designed instruments to properly manipulate and contour the material, especially along the cervical margins. The CLINICIAN'S CHOICE® Esthetic Contouring Instruments are designed for such cases.

Featuring a convex shaped paddle on one end, the CLINICIAN'S CHOICE Esthetic Contouring Instruments allow you to spread the composite material across the facial plane for diastemas, Class IV, and Class V restorations. With other instruments, manipulation of composite is more tedious and often results in an irregular composite surface. Often, it becomes necessary to go over the composite many times in an attempt to smooth the material, when traditional instruments are used. The convex surface of the CLINICIAN'S CHOICE Esthetic Contouring instrument (right) has no edge to catch and pull the composite, allowing a smooth composite to tooth transition. When performing Class IV restorations and diastema closures, it's difficult to wrap the composite material interproximally, from facial to lingual. The long flat, thin, and flexible blade addresses this clinical problem and makes interproximal composite placement and manipulation a breeze.

Born from studies on carpal tunnel syndrome, the CLINICIAN'S CHOICE® Esthetic Contouring Instrument (Soft Grip) provides the clinician greater ergonomics because it better adapts to finger hold and positioning. Its unique shape helps limit effort to the fingers, therefore minimizing degenerating movement of the shoulder and elbow.
The texture of the lightweight CLINICIAN'S CHOICE Esthetic Contouring Instrument provides superior tactile sensitivity and control, so the clinician – not the instrument – is in control when shaping and sculpting detailed anterior composite restorations. Like the Gold Grip CLINICIAN 'S CHOICE Esthetic Contouring Instrument (see above), the Soft Grip features a convex paddle on one end to spread composite material across the facial plane. The opposite "beaver tail" shaped tip makes interproximal composite adaptation easier and more efficient.

The Blue Grip instrument provides the ability to create highly detailed, natural-looking restorations. With its bladed end, clinicians can trim excess composite and cut grooves into the material to create the illusion of enamel cracks. With its opposing tip, ripples can be created prior to cutting for better light reflection. Please note, once instruments have been opened, they cannot be returned.

Convex and bladed end tips are replaceable. All grips are autoclavable.
