About Len Boksman's Lecture
This lecture will provide 12 hours of Continuing Education
Topics to be Discussed:
Predictable C&B Impressions and Simplified Temporization
This program will present systems of impressioning and temporization that leads to increased productivity and time savings with less clinical
variability.
Bonding
The indications for use and the incompatibility of some
bonding agents with indirect techniques and self and dual-cured
composite materials will be discussed.
Whitening
An overview of the current status of whitening supported
by current clinical research will be presented.
Colour and Composites
Simplification of colour stratification using
hybrids and microfils in conjunction with opaquers and tints will be
addressed, with a technique of colour mapping to create unsurpassed
clinical results.
Porcelain veneers: Is there anything new? A look at silanes, new
bonding procedures, dual-cured and light-cured bonding systems,
and the preparation.
Educational Objectives:
This course is designed to focus on new developments in materials
and techniques, to give the dental practitioner guidelines and
methods to increase clinical success, minimize clinical variability
and increase productivity.

Since her inaugural voyage in September 2003, this stylish 2100
passenger ship has been described as everything from elegant to
contemporary, and cheerful to eclectic. Highlights include a nine
deck atrium with glass elevators, a champagne bar, "Books, Books &
Coffee", Schooner Bar, Viking Crown Lounge, on–line café, billiards at
sea, and a Casino Royale. Sports facilities include the ShipShape Spa
with retractable roof, a gymnasium, aerobics, sauna, steam rooms, Balinese style solarium, 9 hole miniature golf, a rock climbing wall,

About the Speaker
Dr. Len Boksman graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Western Ontario with a D.D.S. in 1972. Len then practiced in his hometown of Burlington, Ontario for seven years. In 1979 Dr. Boksman joined the Faculty of Dentistry at Western as an Assistant Professor of Operative Dentistry, shortly thereafter attaining the tenured
position of Associate Professor. He completed his B.Sc. degree in 1984 and was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of Dentistry International. Dr. Boksman received the Dental Students Society
Faculty Teaching Award in 1986. Len was heavily involved in clinical research while at the Faculty, and authored more than 60 articles and chapters in textbooks. In 1987 he returned to private practice full time. Len was the first International Editorial Board Member of Reality Magazine, and consulted for 3M/Espe and Caulk/Dentsply for more than 20 years. In 2003 Dr. Boksman received a Fellowship in the International College of Dentists. Len has served as Councilor to the Ontario Dental Association and was awarded the Ontario Dental Association Award of Merit in 2005. Dr. Boksman is currently Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Boksman is a paid part time consultant, acting as Director of Clinical Affairs, to Clinical Research Dental Incorporated. In the past two years Dr. Boksman has published over a dozen articles in various dental journals.
